To register as agentX client.

Can someone clarify what is the need for this line (highlighted below) to register as agentX client? The input parameters are storage id, which and value. It seems that it stores in a global space. But i see this value is never retrieved later; even in net-snmp tutorial. The comment says "Make as agentx Client".
