Failed to connect to the agentx master agent

Hello,

I wrote a small program as a subagent to connect to Net-SNMP snmp daemon. I used 
the libraries from net-snmp 5.4.2.1. I’ve tested my program with various 
versions of Net-SNMP (5.3.1, 5.3.2.2, 5.4.2.1, 5.5, and so on) and everything 
seemed to work properly. 



However, when I tested the program with Net-SNMP 5.3.0.1 that came with the 
installation CD of SuSE10, the program didn’t work. The error message ‘Failed to 
connect to the agentx master agent’ occurred. Then, I tested the program with 
Net-SNMP 5.2.6 and it worked.

The content in my snmpd.conf is just
master agentx
rocommunity public

I have no idea why my program didn’t work with the Net-SNMP 5.3.0.1 that came 
with SuSE10.

Does anyone have any ideas about this issue?
