Hello, The binary of the program is the same as the one that has a problem on SuSE10 so it should point to /var/agentx/master. Actually, I built it on RedHat AS5. That is correct. SuSE have decided (for perfectly good reasons) to use '/var/run/agentx/master', instead of the default '/var/agentx/master' So the binaries that they ship will be configured to use this socket instead. > However, I'm quite sure that my program uses /var/agentx/master > (in file net-snmp-config.h, there is > #define NETSNMP_AGENTX_SOCKET "/var/agentx/master". As for whether your program uses the Net-SNMP settings or the SuSE path - that may depend on which header files it is being compiled against. My *guess* is that there might be a header file /usr/include/net-snmp/net-snmp-config.h (or similar) which has the SuSE settings. And this is being picked up when you compile your program.
