snmpd daemon memory usage

Hello i'm writing a thesis work on how much SNMP is using resources in network infrastructure. And my plan was to measure the CPU usage and memory usage. But when I perform my test the memory usage don't increase. My question is why the snmpd daemon only use CPU and no memory?
