Re: Looking for a way to persist SNMPv3 user configuration

I found that it works, when I specify the path to the persistent file at agent startup like this:

/usr/local/sbin/snmpd -f -C -c snmpd.conf,persistentfile 

Then dynamic information is successfully saved and loaded after reboot.

Is this the correct way to do it? Why does snmpd not find the file specified in the env variable SNMP_PERSISTENT_FILE?
(I also tried SNMP_PERSISTENT_DIR and persistentDir in snmpd.con and it did not work either)
