Hello all,

We are using agentx protocol to communicate between net-snmp and our
application. The GET/SET/GET NEXT functionality are working fine.

My query/doubt is about traps. ( I am a very new to trap/inform forwarding )

Please let me know if my understanding is correct :

   - Application sends the trap to snmpd on the NETSNMP_AGENTX_SOCKET which
   is /var/agentx/master.

   - We configure trap2sink or trapsess in snmpd.conf so that snmpd
forwards this trap/inform to a receiver, which can be snmptrapd or any other
   receiver.

Is my above understanding correct ?

Do we also need to build the Trap MIB into net-snmp ?

Best Regards
