I seem to remember talk about support for multicast SNMP,
but I'm not sure how far this got.  Suck it and see.

Remember that SNMP expects the target agent to have been configured
with suitable access control settings, before you can query it.
   You *might* be lucky, and be able to retrieve something automatically
using SNMPv1 and the community string "public".   But there's no guarantee.
You're definitely pushing the boundaries of what SNMP was designed for.
