Re: Help on IP-MIB to change IP address via SNMP set command

sir! i was trying to change in IP-MIB.txt file of net-snmp mibs. i was
trying to read-write in IP-MIB.txt file to change IP address via SNMPset
command but that was not possible (I read your responses for the same issue
on mailing list)

and now i leave this task and now I am trying a very basic/ beginer level
task. i followed net-snmp tutorial but unfortunately no success in the basic
task. I will be very thankful  to you if you guide  me to start development
in net-snmp.


Let me to share what i want to do?

1. I installed snmpd and net-snmp agent in debian(ubuntu) and i want to load
my own MIB (I change existing MIB of net-snmp and removed some objects like
sysContct and sysLocation and change the name of MIB and save it at
/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs and /root/.snmp/mibs paths),
now i want to load it  and how can i change in Agent of snmp so that it must
use my-MIb file for objects like sysName .


2. 2nd thing that i want to after 1st task is to load a private MIB in
net-snmp and what kind of code is required to inform Agent about chagnes or
read new MIB?


plz guide me.. i am new in development and sorry if i could not explain it
properly.
