issue with multiple engine id probes

I am using net-snmp 5.5 and I am seeing an issue when I configure net-snmp to have more than one inform destination. I am expecting that net-snmp should be able to probe for both engineids - However what ends up happening is that the code gets stuck in the while loop at:

Int snmpv3_engineID_probe(struct session_list *slp,
                      netsnmp_session * in_session)

which calls int snmp_sess_synch_response(void *sessp, netsnmp_pdu *pdu, netsnmp_pdu **response)
which does not return from the while loop.
   while (state->waiting) {

Does anyone know about this issue or if there is a fix for it?
