Ashok, I have now managed to get SNMPv3 with SHA authentication working. The problem seems to have been that when I built Net-SNMP I had built it with the following options. Changing the link type option from static to dynamic fixed the problem - I don't know why this would work but it did. Net-SNMP build and install options ================================== 1. OpenSSL support: enabled 2. Platform SDK support: disabled 3. Install path: c:/net-snmp 4. Install after build: enabled 5. Perl modules: enabled 6. Install perl modules: enabled 7. Quiet build (logged): disabled 8. Debug mode: disabled 9. IPv6 transports (requires SDK): disabled 10. winExtDLL agent (requires SDK): disabled 11. Link type: static 12. Install development files disabled Regards, Ali Please consider the environment before printing this email ----------------------------------------------- This email and any attached files contains company confidential information which may be legally privileged. it is intended only for the person(s) or entity to which it is addressed and solely for the purposes set forth therein.
