Request for clarification!

Hi all,



The netsnmp_table_data_set_helper_handler ("agent/helpers/table_dataset.c")
is one of the helper handlers provided by net-snmp for auto handling tables.



There are two things, I would like to learn w.r.t to this helper API:

1)      While processing a request, it seems to handle only one name/entry
from netsnmp_request_info:: requestvb, which can, by theory, hold multiple
names. When user requests for multiple cols from a table-row, I would
expect, a single request with multiple entries in varbindings.

Q:   Is that intentionally done? Or
      Just an acceptable weakness? Or
      My understanding is incorrect?



2)      This helper processes all the requests, by walking through the list
(netsnmp_request_info::next). But another helper for scalar
netsnmp_get_watcher_handler, does only one request only.
Q:    Is the handler expected to walk through link list and process all
requests?  Or
       Just process the one pointed by the argument (netsnmp_request_info *
) and return in expectation that the handler will be called repeatedly for
each request ?
