It should find the snmp packages available on the RHN, provided the machine is already registered. You could start by reading the documentation provided with those packages in the form of manual pages. nother good starting point is the project's wiki: http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Afterwards, try to start the daemon on your host (default config should be fine), and try querying the system, for example, try snmpwalk on your host. Obviously, not knowing how you want to use it, all I can give is general advice. -- Primary key fingerprint: AD8F BDC0 5A2C FD5F A179 60E7 F79B AB04 5299 EC56 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list [email protected] Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users
