Queries timing out from monitoring server

Hello,

I've recently installed a CentosOS 5.8 monitoring server, running net-snmp 5.3.2.2, and am having timeout issues querying (snmpwalk/snmpget) any remote station. The monitoring server can query itself though.
And if I query that same remote station from another monitoring server (Mac OSX, running net-snmp 5.6.1), I get the results no problem.
All machines are in the same subnet, no firewall in place.

#=> Querying the problematic server: OK
fuji:~ admin$ snmpget -v 2c -c xxxxxxx tcp:rose sysUpTimeInstance
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (24013516) 2 days, 18:42:15.16


Could anybody give me any hint regarding this odd behaviour?
