Timeout

Hello,

This is the first time that i use net-snmp.
So, i want to know the general configuration and other informations about
my cisco switch using snmpwalk and snmpget.
So , i use the following command:

snmpget -c <community> -v2c <IP> 1.3.6.1.6.1

but i get immer :

Timeout: No Response from <IP>

i connect to the switch using ssh , but the command don´t work .

So , any idea about the problem ? what is wrong ?
