I am trying to debug an issue with 5.7.1/5.7.2 (already applied the kernel_sunos5.c patch). Starting snmpd -Dall, I see the following message in /var/log/snmpd.log before it dies: trace: netsnmp_getaddrinfo(): system.c, 825: dns:getaddrinfo: libc.so.1`strlen+0x50(ff09f4d0, ffbfe004, 25596d, 0, 0, 0) libc.so.1`vsnprintf+0x6c(ffbfdb30, 400, ff09f4c0, ffbfdffc, 7ffffc00, ff0bf7c8) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`snmp_vlog+0x20(7, ff09f4c0, ffbfdffc, ff063308, 1, 0) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`debugmsg+0x30(ff09f4b0, ff09f4c0, 255960, 0, 339, 14a4) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`netsnmp_getaddrinfo+0x14c(255960, 0, ffbfe0b8, ffbfe0b4, 0, 0) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`netsnmp_gethostbyname_v4+0x50(255960, ffbfe1cc, 3235, 31302e31, 80808080, 1010101) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`netsnmp_sockaddr_in2+0x524(ffbfe1c8, 255960, 255960, ff0a4668, 29b30, 1fa4) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`netsnmp_udp_create_tstring+0x10(203301, 0, 29b30, 203301, 0, ff0bf7cc) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`netsnmp_tdomain_transport_full+0x3b8(ff0a3718, 203301, ff0a35e8, ff0a35d8, 0, ff0a3830) libnetsnmpagent.so.30.0.2`create_trap_session2+0xb8(203301, 0, ff33bb78, 0, a4, 0) libnetsnmpagent.so.30.0.2`snmpd_parse_config_trapsink+0xb8(ffbff178, 203301, 203317, 203316, fec46c99, fec46c99 ) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`run_config_handler+0xe8(27048, ffbff178, 203301, 0, 2032f8, ff0bf7ac) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`read_config+0x238(ffbff690, 27008, 0, ff09fb18, ff09fb10, ffbff178) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`read_config_files_in_path+0x4e4(ffbff690, 28880, 0, 2554e0, 0, 2554e0) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`read_config_files_of_type+0xd8(0, 28880, ffbff8fc, ff0bf7b4, 1818, 2c88) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`read_config_files+0x44(ffffffff, ff0a0930, ff0a0920, ff09fb28, 41b, 17f4) libnetsnmp.so.30.0.2`read_configs+0x88(0, 0, 0, 0, 159b9, 159b8) main+0xbdc(3, ffbffc54, ffbffc64, 0, ffffffff, 0) _start+0x5c(0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0) I'm rebuilding with develop-enabled.
