Hi,

I have an issue with configuration of SNMP.

I am having basic SNMP configuration with me in snmpd.conf. I have an UI to
set configuration of SNMP like add read-write community string for a given
hostname.
I was planning to have that new configuration in database. How my agent
should be communicated that it has new configuration to be used? Do I need
to follow below steps:
1) Stop Agent
2) Update /usr/local/snmp/snmpd.conf for adding line as "rwcommunity
community_string host_name"
3) Start Agent

If I dont want to restart the agent daemon to get new configuration from
snmpd.conf, what are other ways to get configuration to snmpd daemon?

Regards,
Chaitanya.
