createUser not replaced by usmUser

Hi Folks, I followed below procedure to add SNMPv3 user 1) stop snmpd 2) add below line in /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf createUser userv5 MD5 mypassword AES mypassword 3) start snmpd /usr/sbin/snmpd -c /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf -f & Result: there is no line with 'usmUser' in /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf Either persistent file getting overwritten every startup or createUser not getting replaced. Please guide me how to resolve it Thanks, Pushpa.
