Hi Folks, During SET operation, Does snmp manager must verify input data before sending set-request to agent? Suppose, If mib object (eg:bookNumber) is of type Integer and manager set same with ascii 'c' then I guess the mibobject value becomes '63' 1.Does snmp manager should give error because 'c' is not integer? OR Is it possible to verify at agent side that incoming value is not integer ( ASCII 'c') which rfc has information on snmp manager tasks?
