This can destroy the user certainly.

However I still have a question regarding the user type being set to NONVOLATILE once the user is created. If the snmpd is restarted, a call to snmp_shutdown() will actually save the user into the permanent location, e.g. into snmpd.conf. After the user is deleted, e.g. via a user command, as this user is still persistent in the config file, I can still retrieve the deleted user via the usmUserTable if snmpwalk is on the usmUserSecurityName MIB variable.
