Hello, first of all I would like to apologise in case this post is a duplicate (unfortunately I wasn't able to find something useful for me browsing the archive). I'm trying to implement a persistence mechanism for iftable indexes and to be more precise I would like to have a fixed table index according to the interface name (e.g. create a map with interface name and associated iftable index). What is the best way to accomplish this? Patching the net-snmp code could be a feasible solution for me. I'm looking for suggestions in order to find the best method to proceed. Thanks a lot!
