Hi all,

I am using SNMPv2 in my current erlang application in Linux. Now I am
trying to upgrade my SNMP version from v2c to v3. For that, I am
changing the usm.conf file. When I am using the usm.conf file with default
configurations in an agent and querying from the SNMP manager it is working
fine. But, when I added security parameters(*AuthP* as usmHMACMD5AuthProtocol
and PrivP as usmDESPrivProtocol) in usm.config file. When I am querying
from SNMP Manager I am getting an SNMPV3 Authentication error.

I am not getting enough information about the usm.conf and vacm.conf files
in the erlang SNMP user guide and on the internet.

I don't know, where I am doing wrong. Please explain what is the problem
and how to upgrade the SNMP Version?

Thanks in advance,
Ch shanmukha
