RE: MSSQL monitor

If you're Perl savvy you can write something to try and log into the
MSSQL database using DBI and DBD:Sybase.  MS SSQL Server and Sybase are
a lot alike and the DBD:Sybase module should work for you.

I'll looking for a way to monitor a MSSQL data base.  What is the
easiest and best way?  So far I have determined that monitoring just the
MSSQL process does not do it.  Looks like ODBC might be what I'm looking
for but I'm not sure.  Can anyone tell me where to look or share their
process?  

I'm running Netsaint 0.0.7 on RH 7.2.
