SNMPWALK and Compaq Compatibility

When I use the following SNMPWALK syntax on a Compaq Windows 2000 server
I can only see general system MIBS of the format 1.3.6.1.2.1 which are
too generic:

Snmpwalk -Ofn hostname public

I am running Netsaint on Redhat 7.2 and am using UCD-snmp version:
5.0.pre1 for the snmpwalk utility. I called Compaq and they said that
the MIBS I am looking for are of the format 1.3.6.1.4.1.232 which gets
down to the Enterprises level. Even though they support 3rd party
monitoring utilities they said it is probably because Insight manager
uses SNMP 1 where as newer monitoring utilities use version 2. I don't
by this since snmpwalk can be switch between snmp version 1, 2, and 3.
I want to monitor the RAID controller and system fans but the MIBS that
are documented won't work. I have a feeling that is tied to the same
reason whey the snmpwalk utility only picks up the generic RFC standards
and not the Compaq specific stuff.

Does anyone now why this is occurring? Is there an issue with snmp and
Compaq?

Thanks!!!
