Host status question..

Question?  How come when a service goes down the host check fails?

I have multiple hosts that have multiple services (SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, MySQL,
Oracle, etc....). The checks work fine, but when one of the services fails.
Netsaints HOST CHECK fails also, even though other services are running fine
and respond OK.

And the other weird thing is, that when all services return to an OK state.
The Host state is still down.. Why????
