Dear Sir,

I am writing to say that AFAIK, all paging/communications programs run
_only_ off serial ports.

Even if you had a modem with a parallel interface (I have never seen
one), qpage would be unlikely to have a driver or even be aware of the
need to use the OSs parallel driver.

Why do you want to use it on a parallel port ?
