Hello again Robert: Sorry to follow myself up! I just wanted to add that I wouldn't want all that guff I posted to put anyone off writing their own plugins. The only thing that's essential is the exit codes. It's just that adding the extra stuff will make life much easier for anyone else who has to maintain your code, and working off a template makes it pretty easy, too.
