Hi there, As far as I understand, netsaint starts as root, and the setuid's to the netsaint user. Is it possible that the netsaint process still has e.g. $HOME=/root and therefore looks in /root/.ssh/*? (Which it by the way can't because it is readonly by root?) What happens when you do this as root? root# sudo -u netsaint /some/path/check_by_ssh yada yada yada ? Does that fail too? As step along the way, make sure the "sudo -u netsaint" command can even see /root/.ssh... Of course this is not a working solution - what params does ssh have?... Hmm.. Thats for you to try... If you get that working, doesn't check_by_ssh then work too?
