Hello netsaint-users,
I know for sure this is one of the most beginners question and I
also want to give it a try.
I have some problems with the permissions:
"It appears as though you do not have permission to view information for
any of the hosts
you requested...
If you believe this is an error, check the HTTP server authentication
requirements for
accessing this CGI
and check the authorization options in your CGI configuration file."
I have the ScriptAlias in the httpd.conf
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/netsaint/ "/usr/local/netsaint/sbin/"
I have added in access.conf file for apache
<Directory /usr/local/netsaint/sbin>
AllowOverride AuthConfig
order allow,deny
allow from all
Options ExecCGI
</Directory>
<Directory /usr/local/netsaint/share>
AllowOverride AuthConfig
order allow,deny
allow from all
</Directory>
I have created .htaccess for Netsaint in /usr/local/netsaint/sbin with:
AuthName "NetSaint Access"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /usr/local/netsaint/etc/htpasswd.users
require valid-user
I have runned the following command in order to created an valid user for
Netsaint:
htpasswd -c /usr/local/netsaint/etc/htpasswd.users netsaintadmin
and I have enable user authentification in nscgi.cfg file:
use_authentification=1
When I try to acces to Monitoring services as Status Overview, Service
Problems and so on I have get the message that I explained before.
Curiously I can see Log file, Alert History and Performance info options.
Thanks in advanced.
Thanks a lot
the newbie
