NSCA processes grow without bound

Hi all,

I have a small distributed Netsaint implementation with two remote nodes
that use NSCA to send passive checks to the server.

Since we upgraded the server and re-installed Linux (Redhat 7.2), the number
of NSCA daemons on the server grow without bound - this morning there were
more than 5000 of them.

All of these connections are sitting in CLOSE_WAIT status on the server. On
the client, I see only 20 or 30 of these connections.

I tried moving NSCA to run out of xinetd instead of from the command line,
and this has helped slow the grow, but not eliminate it.

There are no errors in the logs on either side. The data appears to have
been delivered.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Tim
