RE: Notifications only get to certain email accounts

It could be that those providers are doing DNS reverse-lookups on the IP
address your Netsaint box appears as, then matching the resulting host name
to the host name displayed in your Netsaint box's SMTP HELO command.

First, does the box appear on its own public IP, or is the IP address shared
among multiple hosts?  Either way, does that IP address have: 1) a DNS 'A'
record, and 2) a DNS 'PTR' record?  If so, does the name shown on the A and
PTR records match what your Netsaint box says it is in the SMTP HELO?

Here's a way to test this:

1) Go to the Netsaint box and start a telnet session to one of the outside
servers you can't reach, on port 25
2) Watch the response that the outside server gives - if you get a 421
error, it could be because your mail server doesn't have public DNS records;
- if you get an SMTP READY, go to #3
3) Type HELO [your fully-qualified domain name] - if the response says
anything other than HELO back, you're probably not matching

Many providers are starting to use this sort of verification system, to help
cut-down on SPAM.

Hi all,
I am having trouble figuring out why notifications get to my yahoo email 
but, don't get to my Road Runner email. I get notifications on my ATT cell 
phone but, can't get them at my corporate email through Lotus notes. Does 
anyone have suggestions on how I might remedy this issue? 

Netsaint is sending notification perfectly but, it appears that certain 
email servers do not all the three section domain name. 

ie; [email protected]

Any help would be greatly appreciated
