Re: compiling problem with HP-UX 11.0

You really need to hear from someone with experience porting code to
HP-UX.

However, this _may_ be helpful.

The compiler complaining about ANSI features =>

 . the compiler is not ANSI

 . the compiler is a skeletal effort intended by the vendor for limited
   tasks such as kernel builds

If that is the case (ie you are using the HP compiler) and a google for
pages about 'compiling ANSI code with HP-UX' confirms you need a better
compiler, then you may be able to use gcc.

Then again, you are going to need gcc library support (libc) so this may
not be feasable.

Search the archives (gmane or sourceforge) for 'Bensend'. This very
helpful gentlemen wrote some time ago about having Nag/Netsaint HP
binaries (or at least one of them).
