problem with PAM

I am trying to install noCatAuth with PAM authentication. I have followed 
the instructions I found in the etc/pam.conf (i copied that file in the 
/etc/pam.d/ dir, changed the nocat.conf file, uncommented the PAM_service 
line and set the DataSource PAM).


But I can not login into the system, and in the /var/log/messages i get this 
error:

Oct  1 16:43:28 efpc323 nocat(pam_unix)[3773]: authentication failure; 
logname= uid=99 euid=99 tty= ruser= rhost=  user=clem

Can somebody help me???  It is three days that I'm struggling with this 
problem
