RE: Any news for the Captive.pm error message?

To answer your question about the reference to Captive.pm, it is because
Passive.pm only provides a couple of functions, and then references a number
of common functions that are in Captive.pm.  It appears that Captive was
written before Passive, and so some shortcuts were taken, and not a formal
refactoring of the code.

I haven't been able to spend more time on it, but the issue appears to be
with a failed connection of some sorts ... My guess.  What I have run into
is something else that might be related ... 

When a user connects to my network, and has not logged in, and they have any
application running that makes HTTP requests in the background - like
Windows Update - I see a long list of redirected connections.  Obviously for
each off these attempts, there is a token generated and assigned to my
machine.

What I am wondering is what occurs when they *do* attempt to login through
their browser, while these other background HTTP requests are occurring?  If
they open their browser and are redirected, a token is assigned.  While they
are filling in their information, the background process is continuing to
make requests, and so new tokens are being assigned to each of these
redirects??  When they then complete the login process ... What happens?

I have seen a "token error" on the refresh page during my testing ... And it
appears to then leave a "hole" in the firewall forever ...

Just some thoughts and comments ... I'm going to spend some time on this as
I can ...

I have another question, we use ldap (not the actarus fork) to authenticate
our users (on another server), and i would like to know if anyone here who
use ldap authentication, use differents groups to restrict bandwith or
ports...
