Hello,
ummms,i'm looking for a solution that should locate the users instead of 
forcing them to write down the whole username ([email protected])
As you say, could be a good idea searching sequentially in the 2 domains
do you know how i should modify the code of ldap module in order to work 
that way.
this is the domain structure

domain.com
subdomain.domain.com

most of users of the wireless network are in subdomain.domain.com so It 
could be better if it searchs at first in the subdomain.
