How do I apply the Radius Patch?

I have a working install of Nocat using TACACS for authentication.  I would like to use Radius, I have Freeradius installed and working, I can use radclient to confirm this.  I applied authen::radius from CPAN already, but when NocatAuth sends the request for authen, the Radius server says "Attribute "User-Name" is required for authentication.  Any help is appreciated.
