The user was created as a non-login user (has /bin/false as the shell). Do I then need to recreate or modify the user to allow this? While I have been using Linux for awhile I am not what you would call an expert so any extra info is helpful, thanks. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Doug Parsons Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2005 3:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NoCat] FW: iptables: permission denied on voyage0.1pre3 When you are making these changes you are logged on as root. When NoCat makes the changes, what user is it doing it as? Can you log on as NoCat and make the same changes. It has been a while since I have been working with NoCat so I can't remember how it does it.
