Gdbm doesn't shrink files normally and desn't appear to be that good at reclaiming deleted space, though the gdbm manual page claims gdbm will reuse space vacated by deleted records. To really shrink the files, you need to use noffle's rebuild option. Check the noffle manual page for 'noffle --rebuild'. -- Jim Hague - [email protected] Never trust a computer you can't lift. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email sponsored by: Enterprise Linux Forum Conference & Expo The Event For Linux Datacenter Solutions & Strategies in The Enterprise Linux in the Boardroom; in the Front Office; & in the Server Room http://www.enterpriselinuxforum.com
