I haven't seen that one before, but I suspect it means the device was seeing new MAC addresses faster than it could program them in CAM. If you don't expect a lot of L2 learning on that card, it could be a device jabbering and sending random source MAC addresses. IIRC, the default limit is 16k MAC addresses or something like that. Look at show mac (I think it has totals at the end?), show default-values, and maybe check cam partitioning settings/utilization to be sure you don't have any issues there. -- Eldon On Thu, Jul 6, 2023, 13:30 Michael Lambert <[email protected]> wrote: > Does anyone recognize this error message? > > Jul 6 15:26:28:I:SYSTEM:MAC FIFO full condition recovery, slot > 7,np_index=1, Sucessfull(0x000000bc=0x00000000) > > Slot 7 is a BR-MLX-10Gx8-X in an MLXe-16. > > Thanks, > > Michael > > _______________________________________________ > foundry-nsp mailing list > [email protected] > http://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/foundry-nsp > --0000000000001e706c05ffd9685c Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"auto"><div>How many MAC addresses on that card?<div dir=3D"auto= "><br></div><div dir=3D"auto">I haven't seen that one before, but I sus= pect it means the device was seeing new MAC addresses faster than it could = program them in CAM.</div><div dir=3D"auto"><br></div><div dir=3D"auto">If = you don't expect a lot of L2 learning on that card, it could be a devic= e jabbering and sending random source MAC addresses.</div><div dir=3D"auto"= ><br></div><div dir=3D"auto">IIRC, the default limit is 16k MAC addresses o= r something like that.
