Re: RPMMakefile fails after starting Makefile.Release target: create_ProductVersionFile

  Hi John,

    Definition of PEGASUS_ROOT in makefile may changes during execution as
it will be linked to many source files. So try setting env-vars as required
by makefile in .bashrc, I think below steps may be help full to you to build
Pegasus,

Set environment variables ,
$export PEGASUS_ROOT=Path to Pegasus Source,
            PEGASUS_HOME=set as PEGASUS_ROOT,
            PATH= $PEGASUS_ROOT/bin
            PEGASUS_PLATFORM=According to your system ( If 64bit then
LINUX_X86_64_GNU or If 32bit LINUX_IX86_GNU ),
            LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$PEGASUS_ROOT/lib
           (If you are compiling pegasus by enabling SLP then
           set PEGASUS_ENABLE_SLP = true)  to  enable Pegasus inbuilt slp
            then compile using,
           $make
           and build initial repository using,
           $make repository
           Build will be successful, then start $cimserver
