The number of servers you can manage with Pegasus is infinite.
That is because Pegasus is installed on each server.
The client trying to contact all the servers is the bottle neck.
So what I do myself is to arrange a heirarchy of clients, where each manage some number of servers, like 255 or something, and report up to a single master client.
