reg : RHEL 4.6/OpenPegasus 2.5.1-CIM_ERR_FAILED (Failed to set DefaultNamespacePath)

Dear All,

I am trying to work in OpenPegasus 2.5.1 that comes as an inbuilt package with RHEL 4.6 .
I tried to execute cimmof command for mof compilation and Provider registration. I got the below error

Error: CIM_ERR_FAILED: A general error occurred that is not covered by a more sp
ecific error code: "malformed object name: linux4.6"
Failed to set DefaultNamespacePath.

Similar type of error is occurring even if I use other CIM related commands like cimauth, cimconfig etc.
I am new to Linux and OpenPegasus.　Please give your valuable comments.
