The point of WMI (Windows Managed Instrumentation) Mapper, is to take advan=
tage of the system data repository built into Windows. =C2=A0You could not =
use WMI Mapper on a Linux system because a Linux system does not have the s=
ame built in system data repository that Windows does.OpenPegasus is the Li=
nux alternative to the built in Windows WMI repository.
The only time WMI Mapper then could be useful, is if for some reason you di=
d not want to use the built in Windows WMI repository on a Windows system, =
and instead wanted to install OpenPegasus on Windows, and then wanted to co=
py over the WMI repository data.
There could be no use for WMI Mapper on a Linux system, because there is no=
