Wrong approach. You can't control cimprovagt. It can be constantly activated =
by some remote master, regularly polling, or something.
Memory leaks simply are not acceptable.Nor are they hard to find.Every time=
you allocate or free some memory, also log the activity to a file. That wil=
l slow down things, but then you will be able to find the leak easily. Then =
bracket the the logging function with an #ifdef so that you can easily turn=
logging on and off for debug and release.

I tried setting idleConnectionTimeout. It reflects value in cimserver comma=

It will be great if I can stop cimprovagt instance for my provider.

First tell us why you want to cause Cimprovagt to unload?
=20
It hardly has much overhead, and if there is any sort of activity ongoing, =
you most certainly would be better off having in already loaded.
=20
In fact there is no reason for it ever to unload these days, with all the r=
esources computers have.
=20
 =C2=A0
=20
Changing=C2=A0idleShutdownTimeout through cimconfig should not have an imme=
diate effect, but only after the next time it is loaded.

Hi,

=20
I am trying to configure cimprovagt idle timeout.
=20
Changing idleShutdownTimeout through cimconfig didn=E2=80=99t help.
=20
Cimprovagt is invoked through ProviderAgent and uses ThreadPool.
=20
ThreadPool cleans up idle threads at interval.
=20
I have observed that cimprovagt idle timeout is around 10 minutes.
=20
=C2=A0

I want to reduce this timeout to unload cimprovagt. Is there any workaround=
