"Schnellschuß" may come from rifles and the like but it's also normally
used for very quick reactions (for whatever reason - an emotional
reaction, trying to look very responsive, trying to minimize the time
for a reaction for others, ....).

BTW a quick shot with a gun is quite likely to miss anyways (and no,
2nd shot with trained double-shots don't count as ").

perfect but not so bad either to translate single words. And it
translates it to "shapshot - without aiming".
