Hi Fusl, Before drafting an official proposal, you might want to wait until the following two votes finish: [VOTE] Require English in proposals and votes Proposed by: Daniel Quintiliani Voting starts: 8/15/2018 0040 UTC Voting ends 8/22/2018 0040 UTC As of now* it's tied 2-2, with 1 "invalid" vote (see 2018-08/msg00131.html, 2018-08/msg00198.html, and 2018-08/msg00204.html) and 1 "(awaiting a reply from the individual to see what he wants to call his vote, which is not yea, not nay, and is most likely not to be called "write-in", see 2018-08/msg00149.html, 2018-08/msg00150.html, 2018-08/msg00152.html, 2018-08/msg00153.html, 2018-08/msg00141.html, and 2018-08/msg00199.html awaiting reply)" vote. https://lists.opennicproject.org/sympa/arc/discuss/2018-08/msg00113.html [VOTE] Clarification of voting rules Proposed by: Al Beano Voting starts: 2018-08-16 16:00 UTC Voting ends: 2018-08-23 16:00 UTC As of now* it's 3-2 no. https://lists.opennicproject.org/sympa/arc/discuss/2018-08/msg00183.html If either of them pass, you will likely want to write your proposal to include repeal or revision of their language. It's obvious lately that OpenNIC users find fault with every little mistake or thing they don't like and use it against you, often requiring you to dig stuff up to defend yourself (see 2018-08/msg00151.html (in German) and 2018-08/msg00172.html). So you need to be prepared to cover all your tracks. Also keep in mind this proposal to require proposals be in Chinese has no start or end date, and appears to be a parody of mine (cf. 2018-08/msg00113.html): https://lists.opennicproject.org/sympa/arc/discuss/2018-08/msg00122.html It was introduced immediately without a discussion thread (see 2018-08/msg00125.html), and the period is "Begins: Now, Ends: Next Week" With the attitudes lately, you can never be sure people won't complain about OpenNIC, make fun of people, and insist that no rules are broken and demand action be taken on it. Just keep all this in mind, given the stuff that's happened in recent threads, noting also my citations in this post. *I hereby state that these vote counts are accurate as of August 18, 2018, 2106 UTC. I accept that these votes are ongoing, and that these are preliminary results. I offer these counts for entertainment and informative purposes only to the benefit of OpenNIC members, with no attempt to predict or influence the end result of the votes, or for purposes of commentary on the OpenNIC democratic system. I offer this preliminary, incomplete count with no intent of any unethical, unlawful, or illegal behavior towards any OpenNIC member. -- -Dan Q On Sat, 18 Aug 2018 17:27:25 +0200, Katie Holly <[email protected]> wrote: > I just pushed an update to the repository: > > https://github.com/opennic/dokuwiki-opennic-vote-plugin/commit/83637978dce9b90f94723169cc759bffe9fbc625 > > Important features/fixes are: > > + Added link to /user/<voter> > + Added link to raw voting results data on GitHub: This allows recounting of votes using the raw JSON data that's stored in the Git repositories > + Added "Invalid" option for spoilt/protest votes: We'll have to figure out how we want to handle spoilt/protest votes. Right now, the code implementation counts spoilt/protest votes the same way as a normal vote option. > + Added warning that user votes are public visible: "All votes are public visible. It can be seen in action here: https://wiki.opennic.org/votings (scroll down to the end of the page). With the latest commit (https://github.com/opennic/dokuwiki-opennic-vote-plugin/commit/4d5dd3075168fa383508b29f8486f881746c7bc8) the plugin became more stable and ensures that all votes are recorded now. > > > > To create a new voting, one has to browse to "https://wiki.opennic.org/votings/new_voting_name_here?do=edit" and fill the textarea with > > > > > > ====== Piwik ====== > > <columns 100% 30% 70%> > > <devote title="Test Voting" close="2018-10-18"> > > * Option 1 > > * Option B > > * Other Option > > * etc. > > </devote> > > <newcolumn> > > <code> > > Long, detailed text of what is being voted on. > > </code> > > </columns> > > > > > > This creates a new wiki page that is automagically included into the /votings page where all previous and currently open votings are displayed in chronological order (newest to oldest).
