In this case I like "Position or status with regard to conditions and
circumstances." most. While I would emphasise "status", it is matches
very nicely what we mean in the article.

I'm sure you're aware of the definition of "current" and hopefully
"OpenNIC".

So basically it's the current state and position in which OpenNIC is. As
simple as that.

I feel like this is really discussed now. If you need more input please
see the dictionary of your choice.
