It’s time for This Week in OpenNMS. (It’s training week here in Pittsboro, and we have students visiting from all over the country.) Project Updates 1.8: Current Release is 1.8.4 1.8.4 is the current stable release, tagged 13 September 2010. For a complete list of changes and updates, see the “New and Noteworthy” page on the OpenNMS wiki. As always, it is recommended that you back up your database before upgrading. Work continues on “System Report,” designed to simplify troubleshooting and debugging of OpenNMS troubles. The specification can be found here. On the support side, this week we set up data collection and resource graph definitions for AKCP sensorProbe environmental sensor units; this work is now included in the default configuration files. Bugs Fixed Since Last TWiO #4106 – Fixed a problem with remote poller map performance issues Upcoming Events Order of the Green Polo member Ronny Trommer will be speaking at the Open Source Monitoring Conference in October.
