Just thought I'd post another update. If you missed it last week, the planning has started for the first ever OpenNMS Users Conference to be held in the US. This year will mark the third annual OpenNMS Users Conference - Europe as well as the sixth Annual OpenNMS "Dev-Jam" developers' conference. With OpenNMS experts from all over the world converging on Minneapolis for Dev-Jam, we thought it would be the perfect time to hold a conference aimed specifically at users. We are looking at hosting the conference at the Minnesota Twin Cities campus on 17-18 June. We are expecting to charge $65 for the two days, just to cover expenses for holding the conference. The first day will be classroom presentations and training sessions. The second day will be more of a barcamp/workshop where you can find help with the various issues that you might be facing in your organization or share solutions to issues. Topics that we have committed to cover are jasper reports, provisioning, and net-snmp agent setup. If there are other topics that you would like to see covered, please email me([email protected]) with them. If you have a topic you would like to present, you can also contact me. If you are a presenter, the $65 fee will be waived. Unfortunately, we will not be able to confirm our meeting space until mid-March. We want to know who might be interested in attending to gauge how much space we might need. We've set up a way to express your interest at eventbrite.
