(No, no, no. Not those
<http://www.votesmart.org/election_president.php> candidates. /Important/ ones!)

It's time for This Week in OpenNMS <http://www.opennms.org/>. In the
last couple of weeks we did lots more bugfixing, and of course more IPv6
work in preparation for a 1.10 release candidate.

It occurs to me that I should probably put the "new" content in
TWiO /before/ the boilerplate updates ("current version", "issues
resolved") so regular readers can get the juicy bits right away. So here
it is, the amazing new TWiO layout, courtesy of my friends, Cut & Paste.

  IPv6 Update

First of all, I want to remind you that *we're looking for a few good
nodes*. If you're interested in helping us monitor the hosts
participating in World IPv6 Day
<http://isoc.org/wp/worldipv6day/>, /please/ Contact Dave
<http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.network.opennms.announce/235> and let
him know you'd like to help out.

As far as IPv6 support, the major work is done in the 1.9 branch as of
1.9.8. Ping (ICMPv6) is fully supported on most major
platforms. *PLEASE* help test, if all goes well, we will be doing a
release candidate next month.
