Gang: Although this is has been discussed somewhat on IRC and on the lists, I wanted to make an announcement to hold off on upgrading to 1.5.94. Yesterday, we discovered a bug in the 1.5.94 poller code that will result in incorrect status information on nodes with lots of services. We released 1.5.95 to correct that, and while we were at it we made the (wrong) decision to also include some cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability fixes. Well, it turns out that in writing the XSS wrapper to insure that this was covered throughout the app, another bug was introduced that breaks the notifications part of the webUI. (sigh) To make matters worse, Sourceforge is killing us right now as the subversion repository is extremely slow, so the process of tagging and making a release now takes ten hours when it should take one. So, if you haven't upgraded to 1.5.94, don't. If you have, you probably want to get your notifications sorted and then upgrade to 1.5.95, as you will want that poller bug fixed and the webUI errors are less important. Finally, 1.5.96 should be out tomorrow. My apologies for the inconvenience. -T _______________________________________________________________________ Tarus Balog, OpenNMS Maintainer Main: +1 919 533 0160 The OpenNMS Group, Inc.
